I love my home state to death and I’ll usually get behind anyone from South Kack that makes it do what it do, (even if they’re kinda booty on the mic), but certain things I just have to say “no” to. My dude Sohh Gyant called me the other day and said Charlamagne told him about some dance that was spreading through South Carolina called “tha Elroy.” I think I took a couple weeks to actually watch the youtube vid of this shit but I finally took a look at it today. Apparently, some nucca from Orangeburg, SC made up a song and stupid dance, a la Soul Jaboy, and people are doing it. They’re even cranking dat Roy in the classroom, when they should be crankin’ those school books, which is probably part of the reason our SC kids are stupid.
Anyways, to each his own. You won’t find R.E. dancing around in a circle (that shit looks like it’ll make you dizzy), but I’m sure some of you idiots will take a liking to this. Since the video is posted on Charlamagne’s myspace page, I’m guessing my dude cosigns tha Elroy but hopefully this song won’t be on South Carolina The Album. If this guy gets a deal before Mac-A-Don, Gemstar, Danny! or anyone else that grinds from SC, I’m done.

You have to actually witness this dance in Orangeburg to really appreciate it. Soldier Boy looked lame until everybody started doing it. Orangeburg has 3 colleges so you have people from other areas who will be taking the Elroy home with them to their respected states for the holidays.
