My Fave Songs of the Moment

As “My Faves” week continues, I decided to hit ya’ll with my fave songs of the moment. My favorite songs change on the daily but these are the tracks I’ve had on repeat for the last few days. For some reason, I’ve been bumping this throwback Joe Budden track called “Whatever It Takes” the most. When I’m feeling kinda fuxed up inside, I turn to Joe Budden because he’s the only artist that I can relate to cause he airs out his problems on wax and makes me feel better because his issues alway seem more fuxed up than mine. And for that, “Whatever It Takes” has been my fave joint of the moment. (Oh, and I was gonna keep my faves lists to 5, but I couldn’t narrow it down to 5 tracks, so this list is gonna be a list of 10).

1) Joe Budden - Whatever It Takes (Listen here)

2) Pacific Division - Paper (See video here)

3) Snoop Dogg ft. Too Short & Mistah F.A.B. - Life of Da Party (See video here)

4) Drake - Brand New (Listen here)

5) Shawty Redd - Special (Listen here)

6) Rock City - Losing It (Listen here)

7) Nas - Be A Nigger Too (Listen here)

8 ) Blu - Hold On John (Listen here)

9) Lloyd ft. Lil Wayne - Girls Around The World (Listen here)

10) Killer Mike ft. Shawty Lo - 2 Sides (Listen here)

Honorable Mention: Jarvis ft. Ludacris - Pretty Girl (Listen here)

Update: Last minute addition, straight from Rizoh. I told ya’ll, my faves change on the daily.

The Roots ft. Saigon & Truck North - Criminal (Listen here)

Ok, last one, I promise: Usher ft. Beyonce & Lil Wayne - Love In This Club Part II (Listen Here)

I’ve been reading for a while now, but haven’t posted. Your description of when you listen to Joe Budden is the same as mine, and it’s pretty much the reason I started listening to rap. Good to know you’re involved in journalism because I think you have the right perspective.

The monthly playlists have been keepin my ipod fresh for a minute now, too. Much appreciated.
