My dude Sohh Gyant mentioned this kid Asher Roth on his blog today. So, I checked out dude’s music and his myspace page, and I second his skills (not that anyone really gives a fux what I think, but they should…at least I think so). The White Rapper Show set white rappers back about 10 years, so I didn’t expect to take any Caucasian emcees seriously until 2018 (with the exception of Yelawolf), but I’m convinced Asher Roth is the real deal. Word on the street net is Steve Rifkind just signed Roth to SRC/Universal (home of Akon, David Banner and Wu Tang) and the dude is working on some stuff with the Aphilliates’ Don Cannon.
Just off the fact that Asher Roth can rap and he seems to have the college white hoes promiscuous girls on lock, I’m giving him the R.E. cosign. It’ll probably be impossible for him to shake the Eminem comparisons but his school boy image and college kid content is a far cry from Slim Shady’s catalog and I likes.

This kid is like 15 to 20 years younger than Em, and Em is at the end of his career so its wide open for this kid, plus his swagger and style are different.
