Apparently, some company’s been running an ad campaign, promoting to international gay travelers in London, with a poster saying, “South Carolina is so gay.” (Read story here). Yo, WTF is this!!! South Carolina is a lot of things—last in education, suck azz economy, shitty job market, racist even—but not gay. Atlanta is waaaaay gayer than South Carolina, (it is, I’m just sayin’).

Not only are they promoting gayness, they’re still pumping the Civil War and plantations like that shit was cool. Where I’m from on James Island, there are a lot neighborhoods that are still called Stiles Point Plantation or Wappoo Hall Plantation and Seaside Plantation. When I was younger, I didn’t pay much attention to that, but as I got older, seeing neighborhoods carrying the name “plantation” made me realize that I needed to get the fux outta SC as soon as I could (which is what I did). I really could go on and elaborate on this whole thing in an educated fashion but I’m not. I have things I gotta do (but Charlamagne might though). I just had to stand up for the state that birthed me, cause this is some bullshit! Not to be homophobic or anything, but take that gay shit somewhere else.
