I was on Myspace yesterday (which I only go to once a day to check messages from chicks that refuse to signup with Facebook), and I saw this advertisement for the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball. I saw this and I thought to myself, “WHAT THE F*CK?” Maaaaaaaan, Negroes are trying to turn the Presidential inauguration into a muthaf@ckin’ party. They got Young Jeezy, T.I., and LL perfoming, and f*cking Russell Simmons hosting. SMH. I think I’ve seen a flyer or something about Jay-Z performing that next week too, but don’t quote me on that. Not to mention the emails I’ve gotten about inauguration parties, getting VIP passes early and whatnot. Really?

I’m not even going to DC for the inauguration, but I hope if you are going, that your intentions are not to pick up hoes promiscuous women. See, I had a conversation yesterday with one of our interns, and dude was geeked about how many women were going to be in DC next week. He’s obviously missing the point here.

Going to the inauguration next week shouldn’t be about going to DC, partying, f*cking, like it’s Freaknik ’09. No, going to DC for the inauguration should be about being a part of history. About witnessing for the first time EVER, the inauguration of the first black president. About change, about hope, about progress in this country.

So, please, if you are headed to DC next week, don’t f*ck it up for us. The last thing we need is for nuccas to be acting a donkey in the nation’s capital in the name of Barack Obama’s presidency. Hip-hop, this means you.
