Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake know their rap history, I bet most of today’s rappers don’t.
I haven’t been on Twitter much lately, so I didn’t hear about this until I saw it on some blogs this morning, but apparently Kanye went on a short Twitter rant due to a couple songs off his album leaking, and he decided to pass on giving out a song for G.O.O.D. Fridays this week (hopefully, just this week though).
See, what happen happened was an unfinished song from Kanye’s album called “Lost In The World” leaked yesterday, and then all the blogs went to posting it. And then another song called “All The Light” followed last night, with the same result. Personally, I downloaded and listened to both songs, but I decided not to post either of them, because I could tell they were unfinished, unauthorized and also kinda wack. So it didn’t really make sense to me to post them. But as Shake from 2DopeBoyz pointed out, a blog has to post leaks like that just to stay relevant amongst all the millions of blogs on the net, so that’s pretty much why his blog is better than mine. Personally, I don’t care about all that, which is why so many other blogs get hella more traffic than I do, but I stick to my roots of posting indie artists, supporting my Carolina brethren, lusting over hoes pretty women and just being completely random whenever I want.
A lot of other bloggers do it for income. Me… I just blog to express myself, to write with freedom and just talk to my people. I don’t break stories for hits or post new music to be the first. I really don’t care about all that. That’s just me though.
Anyways, I understand completely where Kanye is coming from. The dude works hard to make great music, he’s been giving away classic records every Friday, and blogs still post songs that, thanks to some hackers, obvious weren’t meant to be heard yet. So I hope you guys are happy, no G.O.O.D. Friday this week. Thanks, thanks a lot, hackers and bloggers. The whole hip-hop blog game is kinda lame sometimes. And this is just one of those instants.
The rest of Kanye’s tweets are in the cut…

I was about to get mad cause Skewby debuted this track on XXLmag.com first and didn’t send it to the rest of us. But I got it shortly after, so I can’t be mad. Skewby’s More Or Less is coming soon.
