I posted up something from Khidd P for Pump It or Dump It a few months back. The rapper/South Carolina Gamecock has a new mixtape coming out soon called The Problem Child, so stay tuned for that. And shouts out to DJ Streetz. #SCSaturdays.

I decided that I’m gonna start posting up more Carolina music over the weekends, since I normally don’t post much of anything on the weekends, I figured I could at least give my people back home some shine. Maybe we’ll call it #SCSaturdays for the hell of it. And with that, Streetz is a rapper from SC that used to be a part of the group Team Iraq that had that hit song called “Pants Saggin.” Well, Streetz is on his solo grind now, and he released a mixtape called IND Independence Day last year, and later this year, Streetz plans on doing a re-release. Here’s the first leak off that upcoming project. Peep that below. #SCSaturdays, lets go.

Carolina Cole was on ustream last night, and afterward he dropped this track over Beanie Sigel’s “Nothing Like It” that Kanye produced (that 2001 Roc-A-Fella music). Dope sh!t from J. Cole as always.

Joey Papers, a very slept on rap artist from South Carolina, released his much talked about new street album 1080p: Live In HD. Shouts out to Flexx Beatz on (most of) the production, and to Ma Official. Enjoy.

Young Swift is a NC rapper that I stumbled on back in 2008…three years later, and the kid is now living in Atlanta and starting to bubble. Here’s a quick introduction to the kid courtesy of MTV’s Shaheem Reid (but it’s a re-introduction for people that have been rocking with The Block for a few years).

I kinda sorta forgot about Swift, and I haven’t been posting his music, so I posted up some of his new videos in the cut. Carolinas all day.

I started blogging about this kid Mike Posner and getting on his music real heavy about a year ago, but I don’t think anyone really cared back then. Back then he was just a college kid, who did a mixtape between classes, and was the white dude in Big Sean’s entourage. Fast forward to 2011, and now, after having a Top 10 Billboard hit, a Top 10 album on Billboard, and headlining his own tour, Mike Posner is a star (well at least all those things make you a star in my opinion). And if those things don’t make him a star, he got Lil Wayne for his latest single, and that’s a pretty cool look, if nothing else. Peep Mike’s “Bow Chicka Wow Wow (Remix)” video, featuring Lil Wayne below, and remember I said it.

In case you don’t follow Lil B (or don’t know who Lil B is, for that matter), the XXL 2011 Freshmen Class member was on Twitter last night, going on a rant about how people should support and buy good music, even if it’s not mainstream, and the Based God even gave a shout out to Danny. Danny being the South Carolina rapper/producer that resides in Atlanta, who put out a couple of critically acclaimed albums, most recently a 2010 album called Where Is Danny?, and then ironically kinda sorta disappeared from the scene. Not to mention he’s been kinda quite about his deal with Interscope, so I don’t know what the hell Danny is doing. But it’s nice to see Lil B showing love. As long as it’s not that kinda love like when he said he’s gonna eff Kanye in the butt when he sees him (I’m paraphrasing here). That’s not cool, Based God.

And Danny had this to say in response to Lil B:

TheState.com article written by Otis Taylor, where Danny talks about his new deal is posted below.

TheState.com: Danny! may be on verge of breakout success

“Hello Kitty” was a hit record (produced by Mantiz) about a year or so ago, for the homie and Columbia, SC’s Jah Bless, that ultimately led Jah to a deal with Yung Joc’s Swag Team. Nothing has really materialized from his deal, but at least he’s got a cool video to show for it, and he’s still out here going “H.A.M.” His new mixtape 6 Ring Jordan is coming out soon.
