The homie Bettie Grind up in Charlotte dropped a new single a few weeks ago, and I didn’t realize this until I was in the Queen City the other day and heard it on the radio, but I never did post it on The Block. Oh well, better late than never. Check it out.

Dude’s music decent, but since the first time you posted his music way back i thought to myself “can he really ‘make it’ with a name like bettie grind?”

Thoughts? How much impact (good or bad) can a name have on a career?

You’re right. Names do make a difference. That’s a good point. I’m not sure man, that’s a good discussion.

Yeah when I interviewed him, he said the name means Bet He Grinds. That’s where it comes from. *shrugs*

I dunno but the cover art is hottness! (says she that designed it)

Bettie does his thang over in the QC (say what you like but he presents with Class and Style, a step above the rest)! and yes that is indeed what the name means, Bet He Grind.

(although I did at one time think Bettie Grind and Julie Hustles were a pair of twin rappers/strippers or something!)
