I’m not going to lie, as a University of South Carolina alum and a die hard fan of Gamecocks athletics, I thought Stephen Garcia, despite his off the field shortcomings, would come into the 2011 season and lead our football squad to a historic season.

Off the field this guy has been a fuxing douche, but statistically, coming into this season Stephen Garcia had a chance a pass Steve Taneyhill and become the Gamecocks all-time leader in pass completions, passing touchdowns and passing yards.

As crazy as it sounds, if Stephen Garica, a 5th year senior, would have played this season as solidly as he did last year, he would have ended his collegiate career as the best quarterback in Gamecocks history.

Unfortunately, the Garcia era at the University of South Carolina is over and ends just as rocky as it started. According to reports, Stephen Garcia has been dismissed from the 15th ranked SC football team after testing positive for marijuana and alcohol.

Garcia had already lost his starting job to sophomore Connor Shaw, who threw for 311 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 54-3 win over Kentucky last week, but to lose his job and then get kicked off the team in his final season…Garcia went from possibly having one of the most celebrated Gamecock careers to being looked at like the fuxing loser he’s been on and off for the past five years…

This is a kid that has suspended five different times for off the field incidents since the day he stepped on Carolina’s campus.

And for his career to end like this…I’m disappointed in this dude but he did this to himself.

It is what it is though. And from one Gamecock to the next, I wish Stephen Garcia the best in all his future endeavors.

You got the juice now, Connor Shaw… Gamecocks dismiss QB Stephen Garcia
