Congratulations to my South Carolina Gamecocks…back-to-back College Baseball National Championships. In addition to winning the College World Series for the 2nd year in a row, South Carolina set records with 16-straight NCAA tournament wins and 11-straight College World Series wins.

Damn it feels good to be a Gamecock… #winning.

I was supposed to have a nice quiet movie night with my ole lady, but we ended up watching the South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Virginia in the College World Series all night. The Gamecocks defeated VA in 13 innings to advance to the College World Series championship, for the 2nd year in a row.

The Gamecocks are the college baseball defeating champs, so if we win back to back titles in baseball, despite the fact that our football team is mediocre and our basketball program fuxing sucks, you won’t be able to tell a Gamecock fan nothing (not that you can tell us sh-t anyways).

It has been a pretty good year for Gamecocks sport though. College baseball champs, SEC East champs in football, landed the #1 football recruit in the country, the track team is always solid, and now the baseball team has a chance at another title.

Damn it feels good to be a Gamecock…

Now I have to try and watch all these Redbox movies before they have to be returned by 9 pm.

September 3rd. Get ready.

I’m kinda mad they ain’t cut this dude’s braids yet, but when you rush for 1,197 yards in your freshmen season, I guess you get a pass.

Devin Taylor’s clip is after the jump.

The season starts on September 3rd.

The media is killing Lebron James this morning, including Charlamagne Tha God. The slander, disrespect and comedy in this is hilarious…

Congratulations to Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd and the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs defeated Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat 105-95 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals to win the 2011 NBA championship. Great game. Incredible series. Amazing season.

This is another story that I meant to touch on yesterday, and I didn’t have the time…but former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was released from prison yesterday after serving almost two years on a gun charge. If you member Plax accidentally shot himself in the leg in a New York nightclub (smh).

Well, Burress, who was a big time player on the Giants 2008 Super Bowl championship team, is looking to rejoin the NFL kinda like how Michael Vick did. And word from the rumor mill is he could be joining Vick on the Philadelphia Eagles next season (if there is a season this year). Word to that Phillies hat.

Welcome home Plax. Let the goons carry the guns from now on.

For as long as I can remember Shaq has been in the NBA. But sooner or later, the game ends for us all… Farewell Shaq. You gave us 19 great seasons in the NBA (well, 18…this season with Boston was basically a wash). Thank you.

We’re still about three months away from the start of football season. There probably won’t be much of a NFL season, so football fans will have to rely on college football to get us through the fall until the NFL cleans up the mess they made.

But since my alma mater University of South Carolina is in the SEC and whether you played or not, football is life in South…the excitement around my SC Gamecocks is starting early. The Gamecock football program is coming off a Top 25 season, we’re returning most of our top players, including Alshon Jeffery and Marcus Lattimore, and bringing in a Top 20 recruiting class, which includes the #1 recruit in the nation, Jadevon Clowney. I can feel it in the air like Beanie said, this upcoming Gamecocks football season might be the best ever.

And the program is already feeding into the hype. They started a youtube video series called “It’s Great To Be a Gamecock,” which features players going through spring workouts, and ends with the text “I’ll Be Ready…Will You?”

Hell yeah, I’m ready nucca!! Lets get this season started. These videos are getting me crunk as hell, and I guess I’ll post them up as they get released.

The first one features wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who coming into this season is one of the top rated WRs in the country, if not the top. So we’re expecting even bigger things from this nucca Alshon this year.

Video #2 features Travian Robertson…I’m not really sure who he is but I’ll still let him shine on The Block.

Check both of the videos below.
