I’m back on The Block, but I have to start off today by saying Happy Founder’s Day to the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Today marks our fraternity’s 98th year of ACHIEVEMENT in every field of human endeavor. And damn, it feels good to be a Nupe. Yo!

Shouts out to my girl Julia Beverly, or as most people know her as “JB,” (you know, ole girl I work with over at OZONE). She was featured in BusinessWeek, which means she’s big business, which is kind of a big deal.

On this date one year ago, we lost a legend. R.I.P. Chad “Pimp C” Butler.

I pray the Lord my soul to take…

I’m good ya’ll. I just needed a few days to clear my head. I’m not the type to show a lot of emotions, but losing my cousin really hurt and it took a toll on my mind. This is the first time I’ve lost someone I grew up with. I still can’t find the right words to say, so I’m not even going to try.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for your kind words, prayers, and condolences. I read every comment, email and text message, and I appreciate all of you for reaching out to me.

I’m going to get back to my regular blogging this week, but before I do, I just wanted to show my appreciation. I love all of you. That’s real and from my heart. I really do appreciate all the love. And once again, thank you all.
