A couple weeks ago, I introduced you all to my girl from Charleston, singer/songwriter Asia Bryant, and her new song “Can’t Help It.” Well, Asia and her team launched a Remix Contest, and they’re asking any producers that are interested to download the acapella version of “Can’t Help It” and produce your own remix. The finalists will be narrowed down, the winner will be chosen by AsiaBryant.com visitors and the remix will be featured on the official maxi-single on iTunes.
If any producers out there are interested, more information is available at AsiaBryant.com. But I’m about to run the original back, cause that ish be jammin’.
I’m not sure if I ever introduced Block readers to Asia Bryant, but she’s a singer/songwriter from my hometown (Charleston, SC). She lives in Atlanta and I met her a few months back, and ever since then I’ve felt the need to look after her like a lil sister (ya’ll know, us Chucktown transplants in the ATL have to stick together).
My dude Nick Love manages her and he just hit me with her new single, and this girl can sang. I remember back in Charleston our only hip-hop and R&B station, Z93 Jamz, used to play her music, and she had a song on her Myspace page that I used to listen to super hard…but then she took the song off her page and I got real pissed off (I don’t think I ever told her that though), so I’ve been rocking with her music since then. But this “Can’t Help It” joint will probably be most of ya’ll’s first listen. Hopefully ya’ll rock with this (cause the joint is fire), and feel free to follow Asia on Twitter if you like what you hear. Chucktown, SC all day.
