I think what happened here is Donnis landed on the cover off XXL mainly off of having good music, but since the majority of folks in the ATL rap scene don’t even know who dude is, he went back home and got two of the biggest DJs in Atlanta doing it, DJ Holiday & DJ Infamous. Which is a smart thing to do because if they don’t eff with you back home, when it comes to hip-hop, you’re f*cked. The Invitation drops on June 1st.

Over the weekend, Gucci Mane did the most retarded then when he dropped 3 mixtapes—one with Drama, one with Holiday and one with Scream—at 10:17 pm on Saturday night (I think the meaning behind the time has something to do with his block/crew, 1017 Brick Squad, or something like that). I couldn’t really believe it myself, especially since he just dropped a Gangsta Grillz mixtape with Drama a couple weeks ago, and I haven’t even finished listening to that one yet. You can’t front on Gucci for flooding the streets like this though. His work ethic is crazy. Enjoy these.

I was just telling ya’ll about Born Wit It, a group from ATL that I’m kinda digging and how they didn’t really have enough music out, well look at this…they just dropped a mixtape today with DJ Holiday. I listened to the Holiday & Gucci Mane mixtape over the weekend, but that nucca DJ Holiday be talking too much, but I hope he doesn’t have that much to say on this one, so I can actually hear and enjoy the music.

Oh, yeah, I bumped into Born Wit It at B.o.B.’s show this weekend. Cool dudes, I think they have a chance (if B. Rich gets them right…no Chris Stokes). I haven’t checked the mixtape out yet, but hopefully it sounds good. If not, lets pretend this blog on them never happened. Deal? Thanks.
