Sometimes I forget that King is back on newstands. I mean, I cried for a couple days when then went out of business last year, but I haven’t been that into King since they’ve been back, and that’s just because the mag costs $7.99 in stores (if I’m not mistaken). And I just can’t see myself paying that much for a magazine, even if it is the illest men’s magazine ever, and even if they are trying to tempt me with Bow Wow’s old piece Dollicia Bryan (with her fine ass).
But if any of my colleagues out there happen to cop this Fall issue of King, please do allow your boy to flip through the pages for a couple hours. I mean, I could go in Barnes & Noble and look at the pictures read it, but I always feel like a perv when I’m reading mags in the men’s magazine section…even if it’s King. I feel like people may think I’m reading Playboy or something, and I always feel the need to let them know the women have clothes on, but since the chicks are still half naked it doesn’t really make a difference, now does it?
Anyways, the new issue hits stores on August 2nd. And for right now, you can read a portion of Dollicia Bryan’s interview where she kinda sneak disses Kim KardASShian here.

I was over at RR just now and I saw a post they have about King relaunching with Rosa Acosta on the cover and I almost choked on my frappuccino. I tried to find some kind of official press release or something about the relaunch, because I don’t want to get my hopes up, and have this whole thing be a hoax like the new XXL freshmen story. But if YN and Co.’s reports are true, this might be one of the happiest moments of my life.
Things just ain’t been the same since King went out of business. I actually turned to Maximto fill the void that arose when King closed it’s doors. I was flopping through the latest issue of Maxim earlier this week, looking at all the skinny broads between their sheets, hoping to see a bigger azz or tit on the next page, thinking to myself, “why’d they have to take King! Why!” I remember when news broke that Vibe was relaunching, and I was like, “Man, fux Vibe!!! Bring back King!!!”
But it looks like my prayers have been answered (I swear I just shed a man tear). Lawd, please don’t play with my emotions like this. Please, King. Please!!! I hope this is true. I hope that the Illest Men’s Magazine Ever! is back in business. This might be the best news I’ve heard all year. 2010 is looking up already. Welcome back, King. WELCOME MUTHAF@CKIN’ BACK!
