I hate to keep adding fuel to this Lil Ru and Boss G situation, but I posted the initial video, and I know a lot of people want to know how the whole thing started and whatnot, so my girl Tasha over at Shebloggin.com took it upon herself to interview Lil Ru’s babymama about what happened. Smh. Hopefully this will put an end to all the gossip and rumors, but I doubt it will. Part 2 (above) talks about what happened that day leading up to the fight. Part 1 (below) talks about how Ru’s babymama thinks he’s a deadbeat. I’m done…

If You Missed It: Lil Ru vs. The Goons (Video)

This is probably the most creative way I’ve seen to promo a single…

Update: Shebloggin.com interviewed Lil Ru’s babymama

This song has been out for awhile. Cran Neely is a rapper from Rock Hill, SC, but I really don’t know much about him. Ya’ll know the rules. Basically, if you like it, comment Pump It, and I’ll post more music from Cran Neely. If you don’t like it, Dump It, and he’ll be banned from The Block…forever.(And don’t just dump it because of Lil Ru…you haters).

Pump It or Dump It?

The title says it all. Hosted by DJ Blaze. Enjoy.

collardgreen

It’s kinda disheartening hearing Collard Green drop a diss on Lil Ru, considering they used to be inseparable (no homo). I got this track in my inbox over the weekend. It’s tagged “Lunch Rap” and the email title says “Who Da F*ck Is Lil Ru,” so I just combined the two for the song title. I really don’t know the reason Green and Ru fell out, but it is what it is.

backpackshawty

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of Backback Shawty or Da Schoolboi or whatever his name is, and I usually don’t promote beef or whatnot, but this track is kinda hard. Just to be fair, Lil Ru’s album is in stores now (if you can find it), support that.

I’m sure you all already know this, especially my Carolina readers, but South Carolina native, Lil Ru, released his debut album on Def Jam yesterday. If I’m not mistaken, this is the first album released by a South Carolina rapper on a major label, so its extremely important for the Carolinas to support the lil homie. I actually went to Best Buy in Charleston to buy it yesterday, but they didn’t have it (which isn’t a good look, considering they didn’t even have the CD in a location just hours away from his hometown), but I’ll try to find it somewhere else today. I know a few people have heard it, but since I haven’t, I can’t really speak on it. At any rate, go cop that Lil Ru album. SC, all day.

I don’t think New Yorkers appreciate the “Nasty Song” like the Dirty South does.

statehouse

Here’s goes the official Grand Hustle/State House “Crank Dat Roy (Remix)” featuring Yung LA. This version still has Lil Ru on the hook, but LA adds a good twist to it. Enjoy.

Btw, Cleve Harrison took the photo. That’s that MDD ish.

lilru

I know how a lot of my home state readers feel about Lil Ru. But at the end of the day he’s still reppin’ South Carolina, and this 2nd single with Rick Rawse is a good look. Lil Ru’s debut album 21 & Up drops on August 25th.
