Rick Ross – “The Summas Mine”

Download

Well ya’ll, Ricky Rozay’s fourth album, Teflon Don, hits stores today, and like we always do around this time when a major album is released, it’s time to throw out some sales predictions. Now, I will say that Teflon Don is a very solid body of work (4 chicken sandwiches in my opinion), not classic like a lot of people are hollering, but it is a pretty good album. But sales wise, I don’t see Ross doing more than 200,000 first week, which isn’t bad at all, and it’s a step up from the 158,000 that he sold when Deeper Than Rap came out last year. But is it Drizzy Drake numbers? No.

I could be wrong, but even though he makes good music, and I think most people are over the fact that he’s was a security guard turned cocaine rapper, he’s still a fat boy that likes showing off his titties, and I don’t think chicks really dig that. I’m saying, chicks make up a strong percentage of the buying public, and I don’t ever really hear women I talk to screaming over Rick Ross. So that says to me that the 150,000 – 500,000 albums that Ross sells is based off people that actually support him for making quality music, which isn’t enough to ever go platinum, but it’s a good consumer base, nonetheless.

So like I said, the hoes promiscuous girls ain’t effin’ with Rozay, so I’m predicting he’ll get an extra 40,000 albums sold based off his new network with Puffy, which will bring his first week grand total to about 200k (and it’ll eventually go gold).

I mean, I could be wrong, but that’s my theory. Thoughts? Predictions? What do ya’ll think?

I’m really going to focus on getting the SC awards winners posted today, but in the meantime, Rozay is really killin’ em. Teflon Don drops next Tuesday.

My apologizes on the late start today, I had a long weekend with the South Carolina Music Awards, and I’m having technical difficulties getting pictures from the show posted. But as soon as I get that straight, I’ll post up some pics from the event. Hold tight…I’ll get things up and running on The Block shortly.

For now, the song of the summer has a visual up top, and Rozay’s “Super High (Sativa Remix)” video, with Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa is in the cut.

This track leaked earlier today, but I was waiting for the No Tags version before I posted it. Here goes… Teflon Don drops on July 20th.

If you haven’t noticed, Rick Ross & Spliff TV shoot videos whenever they feel like it.

Bonus: Rick Ross feat. Chrisette Michelle x Drake – “Aston Martin Music”

Just to be 100 about the situation, I don’t believe anything coming out of this guy’s mouth or tweets, but it’s getting harder not to rock with him because he makes good music. I might be becoming a Ricky Rozay fan all over again. That song with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y didn’t help either. Matter of fact, behind the scenes footage from the “Super High (Remix)” video with Spitta and Wiz is in the cut.

I can’t front on Ricky Rozay, that fat nucca be making hits.

If You Missed It: Rick Ross – Albert Anastasia EP

Well, here’s the first of a couple big names dropping mixtapes today (T.I. being the other). The Albert Anastisia EP serves as the prequel to Ricky Rawse’s upcoming Teflon Don album. I don’t really fux with Officer Ricky like that, but he does make good music, so this should be good. Enjoy.
