Ricky Rozay, Meek Mill, Pill and Wale are on the cover of XXL‘s October issue. You have to tip your hat to Ross, he went from the C.O. to the CEO…bawse.
That reminders me, I need to renew my XXL subscription. I haven’t read a XXL issue in a couple months.
Wale was in Atlanta earlier this week for a free show presented by Heineken, and before I slander him, let me say that I used to be a Wale fan. But over the last couple of years, the dude kinda comes off as a cocky asshole in the media and on Twitter, and since he’s been with Maybach Music, I haven’t really felt the music he’s been putting out.
I told Nanci O that I think Wale will eventually falloff, not that I’m rooting for his downfall, I just think the dude messed up his brand when he joined MMG, and KiD CuDi was probably on to something when he told Wale, “We don’t f*ck with you musically.”
Anyways, I’ve seen Wale perform a couple times prior and his show was pretty good, but the show he put on this week in Atlanta was wiggity wiggity wiggity wack.
If it wasn’t for Tity 2 Chainz and the free Heineken, that night would have been a complete bust.
But I digress… you guys can check the video footage for yourselves. And also, my girl Danielle Canada interviewed Wale for HipHopWired that night, so I posted that interview in the cut.
Ok, yeah, all these new Rick Ross/Maybach Music songs are hard, but yall just gonna sit here and act like all these songs don’t sound the same? Nobody’s gonna say nothing? Ok, den.
Last night me and the homie Bank! hit up the Big Sean, Pill, RE, and Hollyweerd show at The Loft in ATL. There were a couple other acts that performed but I don’t remember their names. Last night was really Big Sean’s show (especially since Donnis got exed from the bill). But being that last night was the first time I saw Big Sean in person, I realized that he’s probably the shortest rapper ever. Well, he’s not shorter than Bushwick Bill or Lil Kim but he’s close. If you ranked the shortest rappers of all time, it has to go Bushwick Bill, Lil Kim and then Big Sean.
Anyways, Big Sean still put on a good show (despite the fact it was hard to see him on stage when he instructed people to wave their hands in the air). But I got a some video and a few pics courtesy BankBeats.com, so you guys can check that out. There were about 30 video cameras out there, so they’ll probably be some more footage poppin up around the net, so I’ll probably post some more footage up when I see some.
