And just like that the 2011 NFL season is underway (no lockout). If I said I wasn’t excited about this football season I’d be a muthaeffin’ liar but since I had my fantasy football draft about a week ago and I took Peyton Manning as my quarterback thinking he’d be back from neck surgery soon, with news coming out that Manning had another neck surgery on Thursday and thus will be out for at least 3 months, I’m fuxing sick right now.
But still I’m going to try and enjoy this season as much as possible. Panthers and Falcons all day (although I have no faith in either of those teams making it to the Super Bowl).
I’m going Pittsburgh Steelers over Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl this year folks.
Tonight’s Packers vs. Saints season opener was a great one too (even though I fell asleep in the 4th quarter…I gotta get my life together).
Congratulations to my South Carolina Gamecocks…back-to-back College Baseball National Championships. In addition to winning the College World Series for the 2nd year in a row, South Carolina set records with 16-straight NCAA tournament wins and 11-straight College World Series wins.
For as long as I can remember Shaq has been in the NBA. But sooner or later, the game ends for us all… Farewell Shaq. You gave us 19 great seasons in the NBA (well, 18…this season with Boston was basically a wash). Thank you.
