We decided to release another one from the Million Dollar Dreamz. vaults today. This will be on DJ Black Bill Gates & warrenJae’s Dream Catcher mixtape, coming soon.
Well I’ll be damn. Look what we have it. “Dear Jasmine,” the video by our very own warrenJae, co-starring Jasmine Sanders, directed by Bank!, and presented by Million Dollar Dreamz has found its way onto the #1 site for hip-hop videos, WorldStarHipHop.com.
To be 100% honest, when we shot the video, I didn’t think it would be this big of a deal. I figured it was a good song, and the story of Warren admiring Jasmine prior to releasing the song last year on his mixtape, having her hear and like the song, becoming our extended family, and actually agreeing to be in the video for it, was one hell of a back story. But 12,000 Vimeo views later, “Dear Jasmine” is all over the internet, and I’m very much so lost for words. I just didn’t expect all this.
We didn’t know Jasmine was gonna be rumored to be dating Chris Brown and become somewhat of an overnight internet celebrity. We didn’t expect Necole Bitchie to post the vid on her site. Hell, we didn’t know if people were gonna even like it. But they did. The overall feedback from the video has been tremendous, and I want to thank you all. warrenJae is an artist and Million Dollar Dreamz is a team that started right here on The Block. To see Warren’s audience expand and his buzz grow, is to see something that was was birthed by this site’s community. Thank you.
But I won’tramble on anymore. Special shouts out to everyone that helped put this video together. Bank! for directing, editing and having the vision. Phil The God for contributing in the directing and filming. House of Adrene (264 Peters St., Atlanta, GA), for allowing us to shoot a scene in their store. My nig Kenny Kold for doing the same at his Power Plant studio. Jasmine, for even being down with this. Alisha, Vanessa, Cleve, Sam King, Topeka, Jaymil, C-N.O.T.E. and everyone else that played a part in this video. Thank you.
And just to run it once more, but from WorldStar this time…here it is, “Dear Jasmine”:
As promised, warrenJae co-starring Jasmine Sanders, as herself, in “Dear Jasmine.” Directed by Bank! for Two Fifty Video and presented by Million Dollar Dreamz. Enjoy.
As my true Block readers already know, Two Fifty Video and Million Dollar Dreamz shot a video for warrenJae’s “Dear Jasmine,” starring the lovely Jasmine Sanders, long before all this Chris Brown ish started hitting the blogs. We’ll probably premiere the video later this week, but I decided to post some still shots, so you all can get a sneak peek of what’s to come. Bank! did his thing on this one. More pics are underneath.
My SC people should be familiar with the young homie Jah Bless. He had that song called “Hello Kitty” that was getting some love in SC, and ultimately got him signed to Yung Joc’s Swagg Team. Jah Bless is getting ready to release a new mixtape called I’m So Tomorrow, and “Like a Album” featuring warrenJae is the mixtape’s first leak. The homie Mantiz produced this, and he flipped the hell out of that Drake sample. Swagg Team/Million Dollar Dreamz/Block Symphony, SC, all day. I’m So Tomorrow is coming soon.
This past weekend, Two Fifty Video & Million Dollar Dreamz shot visuals for warrenJae’s “Dear Jasmine,” starring the beautiful fashion model Jasmine Sanders. My brother Clevis Harrison let loose of a few photos from the shoot, and I guarantee the video will be as dope as Clevis’ photos, because that’s just how we do at MDD. We’ll probably drop the video in about a week or so, but it’s a pretty good feeling when I can say, “hey, lets shoot a video for Dear Jasmine” (sup, Steelz), and have it all come together. Ya’ll nuccas need to get your team together, because we can pretty much do whatever we think of at Million Dollar Dreamz.
Here’s something new off warrenJae’s upcoming mixtape, The Dream Catcher, hosted by DJ Black Bill Gates. To understand the song’s concept; the Township Auditorium is a performance venue in Columbia, SC that a lot of events take place at—concerts, plays, step shows, comedy shows, everything. So, like the Phantom of the Opera, you have the “Phantom of the Township.”
Ok, lets see. The sequel to What Dreams May Come, called Welcome To My Dreams is in the works. So, is the prequel The Dream Catcher, hosted by DJ Black Bill Gates. “Smile With My Heart” is just something so you all don’t forget that we’re working over here. It’s Million Dollar Dreamz. baby.
