I feel like an idiot for even posting this now, considering Lil Wayne already broke Watch The Throne‘s iTunes record, and Tha Carter IV is on pace to do close to a milli in it’s first week. At the time when Nanci and I recorded this, it was just after C4 leaked and everyone was talking about Lil Wayne’s Jay-Z diss. We didn’t take into consideration that Lil Wayne now has a cult like following and appeals to a younger demographic than 40+ Hov, so I guess we didn’t know what we were talking about in this segment.

Oh well… I’m posting it anyway.

Also, hit the jump for a look at Nanci O’s line for the fall. Nanci O is definitely a brand and one of the hardest workers that I know.

This week for Where Is Hip-Hop? me and Nanci talked about Jay-Z and Kanye’s Watch The Throne album and how they managed to release the album without it leaking.

And I don’t know how ya’ll feel about WTT but the album is jammin’ to me…

I think I forgot to post up the last two Where Is Hip Hop? episodes with Nanci O and myself. In Episode 81 (above), I called out J. Cole since he’s been bullsh-ttin’ about putting his album out.

And in Episode 82 (below), I made an apology to Ace Hood, since I thought he would have fallen off by now, laughed at him when he was on that XXL Freshmen cover and was joking on him when they had that #uknowyouAceHood Twitter trending topic a couple years back. “Hustle Hard” happens to be on of my favorite rap records this year, so I can admit when I’m wrong. My bad, Ace Hood.

Check both of those out, and remember the Nanci O Radio Show airs every Thursday night on WXYC 89.3 FM Chapel Hill, NC.

For this week’s episode of Where Is Hip Hop? with my girl Nanci O, Nanci let me give my list of overrated rappers. You might find a couple of your favorite rap artists on this list, and if you do, don’t get mad at me, that’s just how I feel. Take a listen.

I didn’t post up the latest episode of Where Is Hip Hop? with my girl Nanci O, so I’ll have to post two episodes today. In Episode 78 (above) me and Nanci talk about Big K.R.I.T. and his Return of 4eva masterpiece. Then for Episode 79 (below), I try to convince Nanci that Jeezy and CTE are finished as a staff, record label and as a muthaf@ckin’ crew (and I don’t care if they did sign Freddie Gibbs). Nanci wasn’t trying to hear me though (you know she’s Young Jeezy’s #1 fan).

For this week’s episode of Where Is Hip Hop?, me and Nanci discussed this year’s XXL Freshmen class. We touched on the good, the bad and the just plain wack, and called out the few freshmen that we felt shouldn’t have made it and mentioned a few people that got snubbed. Take a listen.

I hate to keep beating this Wiz Khalifa story to death, but for the last episode of Where Is Hip Hop?, me and Nanci talked about Wiz getting locked up and touched on his weed habit and pothead image. Check it out below.

Where Is Hip Hop? (Episode 65)

Also, you can catch Nanci O is live on WXYC here until about midnight.

This week for Where Is Hip Hop?, Nanci O and myself discussed the growth in hip-hop outside of music, with Rhymefest running for councilman in Chicago, and Bun B teaching a class at Rice University, and Waka Flocka’s views on education…well, Waka ain’t really growth but we talked about him too. And make sure ya’ll go out and vote on Tuesday.

Where Is Hip Hop? (Episode 63): Hip Hop Rocks The Vote

Awhile back, I told you all about my girl Nanci O, and how I have a weekly segment called Where Is Hip Hop on her radio show out in the Fayetteville/Raleigh-Durham/Chapel Hill, North Carolina area. Well, next week will be our 25th episode, which is about 6 months of work, so I think that’s something brag about. I’m not sure what we’re going to talk about for the Big 25, but we’ll figure something out.

So, at Nanci’s request (more so that mine) I’m posting audio of all 24 episodes. Basically, every week, Nanci and myself chop it up about hip-hop, which is pretty much all I do anyway. The only difference is our conversation gets broadcast on the air to thousands. Not to mention, according to Nanci, I’m making quite an impression on the female listeners, but you know, I just make it do what it do, baby.

Anyways, after the jump episodes 1-24 are posted. And I’d like to thank Nanci and my dude O for reaching out to me to get involved with this. I really do enjoy doing this every single week. And be sure to log on to for more information.

I haven’t really mentioned this to ya’ll, but for the past couple months, me and my girl Nanci O have been collaborating for a weekly radio segment called Where Is Hip Hop? Nanci has is a radio personality out in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area, and she interviewed me for her show last year. It was a cool interview, and since Nanci frequents The Block, I tricked her into believing I was knowledgeable about hip-hop, so this year she asked me to come on her show for a weekly segment. We’re actually about 10 episodes in, but I haven’t said anything until now, and that’s because I’m not all that comfortable about hearing my own voice, so I’m a little self-conscious about people hearing me speak on the air. (But fux it, I gotta get out of that sooner or later).

So, I know Nanci has been wondering why I haven’t put our segments up on The Block, but that’s basically why. But I’m about to link all 10 Weeks right now, so you all can take a listen to what we’ve been talking about. Each week we’ve basically take the hottest topic in hip-hop and speak on them (and I kinda talk my sh!t, but ya’ll already know how I do). If anyone’s out in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill-Fayetteville, NC area, you can actually hear Nanci’s show on the air and catch my weekly segment with her on these stations:

WXYC 89.3 FM Chapel Hill, NC Thursdays 9 PM -12 MN
WXDU 88.7 FM Durham, NC Fridays 5 AM – 7 AM
Soul 104.5 FM Fayetteville, NC Saturdays 9 PM – 12 MN
